it's obvious you don't have an infection. that is a lot of abx's.
time for some oxycodone and have your dr. take a look at your
bowels and digestive system.you probably don't even have c.p.
irritable bowel syndrome is often diagnosed as cp in men.
now do as your daddy says and you will feel a lot better real soon.
dr. feelgood,

I'll have his take a look at that, but the pain is really localized to the
prostate reigon (i.e. a deep pain behind and sligthly above the scrotum that
manifests itself as lower back pain as well. So at any given time I could
have a two-for-one package of pain both in my prostate reigon and general
aching of the lower back (all consistent with prostatitis.)
I've been doing A LOT of reading, and what baffles me is that I don't
experience pain urinating or ejaculating, but standing, sitting,
walking....basically any activity is a real burden and I find myself
constantly shifting me weight to relieve the sharp pain in both reigons.
I agree that it's probably not an infection, because the Levaquin seemed to
knock that out, but the enlargment is unexplained. The doctor described my
prostate as "mushy" as opposed to firm and likened it to fruit that has bas
or soft spots. To date, five different doctors have diagnosed me with
prostatis, but that diagnosis is so vague.
For what it's worth, the Flomax is wonderful. I can really tell the
difference in urination, and I've been taking it religiously. In fact, if I
skip a day accidentally, I'll be back to my stop-and-start routine where I
never feel quite emptied. So for it's part of the equasion, I can earnestly
endorse Flomax. None of the others (Prosta-Q included) have made a
significant impact.

Maybe try Proscar. I've only been on it a few days and it's already
making me feel a lot better. Also Rooibos tea is helping me. Our
stories and symptoms are similar, so possibly these two remedies will
help you as well.
A week ago it hurt my lower back to walk from one room to the next and
my stream was weak. Today I walked outside two miles with my wife (it
helps to live in Arizona) and I'm urinating better and less often. Good
luck and keep the faith.
