I've been suffering from CP for over 7 years now. Have had sore
testicles, groin pain sometimes radiating to the lower back, pain on
the pubic bone ever since. Recently I was treated with intraprostatic
injections which added pain in the tip of my penis and in the rectum
to the mix. Good fun.
Is anybody on this forum ever without symptoms or pain?
It seems typical that CP symptoms waxe & wane but not in my case, the
pain is always there to some extent but I've never been actually pain
free...
Is this the case in most people or are you amongst the lucky ones that
actually experience symptom-free periods??

You shouldnt have allowed that. They not only dont really do that much for
you, they can leave things worse.

Without symptoms? No. Without pain? Now and then. I take strong doses of Saw
Palmetto which makes a heck of a difference almost all the time but when
they dont make any difference, I have to go get really strong antibiotics
(doxycycline) which help. Dont take them for too long as the more you take
them, the less effect they have. Better to put up with it, go on them for a
short time and go off again for as long as you can.

Get yourself a camp chair. Like a director's chair but normal height. Use it
to sit on at the table, at the computer etc. Makes life a lot easier and
lessens the pain.

Once in a while I have a little time without pain. It doesn't happen often
and doesn't stay long but when it is there, I can lay on my left side all
night when asleep and not be paying for it the next morning!

luckily, some have found ways of controlling the pain, either
accidentally or on purpose.i accidentally found a way to control my
pain
and have been doing rather well for the last year, but i am not
absolutely
100% pain free.most of the time lately i notice it very little, but
there is always a small amount of pain in my right nut and lower
spine.i have had cp for 37 years.many times i have considered doing the
dirty deed,
but glad now i didn't.the only thing i can tell you is to keep reading
and experimenting. maybe you will get lucky and find something that
works for you.what works for some will not work for others.i do know my
pain is generated in the stomach and bowels and is deferred into the
groin,back,and right leg.good luck,merry christmas,happy new year,
and hope you get better soon.
