Orgasm Intensified with Prostatitis?

This is weird.  Just about 2 weeks ago, the whole thing subsided.
What I mean by "thing" is the episode of what I think to be
prostatitis.

Specifically, in about the middle of September, I began to feel a
tightening in my 'prostate' area (hard to describe, but up and to the
left of my anus, coming from the back forward) during orgasm.

At first, it shocked the hell out of me.  But, in a few orgasms' time,
I began to really enjoy the feeling.  It was a rather pleasureable,
and intense feeling that accompanied the orgasm.  Rather frequently,
the 'prostate' (what I think of it to be) would tighten just before
orgasm.  The tightening would be an added 'bonus' pleasure, and the
orgasm seemed to be more powerful and more lengthy.

Now -- alas -- my friend is gone.  My orgasms are back to 'normal'.
Not entirely dead, but just plan vanilla.  IT's like that prostate
tightening was the added cream and sugar to my sexual coffee.

Sadly, I have to ask:

(1) Is this normal?
(2) Was is prostatitis?
(3) Was this my prostate I was feeling?

Aside from the orgasm part, nothing really hurt, was painful, was
different, nothing in my urination, nothing that I can really think
of.

Cheers.

I experienced something similar about 6 months before my first
episode.

Thanks for the reply, JRH.

But, I have to ask:

(1) Did it develop into full blown prostatitis?
(2) What -- (I'm new to this ailment) -- is the treatment available and
does it go away?

Thx

Yes, ten days of ABX cleared up the symptoms but there was a
complication.  During the first occurance a sciatic muscle
problem developed that took three months to heal.

It is my understanding that most people don't have a reoccurance,
but when they do, many times it doesn't respond to ABX.

In my case the symptoms reoccured about a year after the first episode,
It did not not respond to ABX,  60 days of Cipro, three per day
had no effect.

About ten specialists and several years later I ended up at the
Mayo Clinic, and got a $4000 valium prescription.  After that
fiasco, I decided to see what I cound find on my own.

The information I have discovered so far indicates CPPS may
be caused by impacted, or ruptured anal glands.  Despite
what many Doctors believe, certain kinds of anorectal abscesses
can be very hard to detect, and would enable the spread
of germs to surrounding tissue.
