I may have epdidymitis and prostatitis -- at least both hurt, and the
prostatitis was greatly improved by mighty Levaquin, at least for awhile.
[omit long sad story here]
Lately, however, I feel pretty good in the mornings. Time and sitting (or is
it only sitting?) make the pain worse. By afternoon I am nibbling on ultracet
and klonopin, and I am no wimp. The pain seems to get steadily worse during
the day, but also become less when I stop sitting.
Old jokes aside...
patient: "Doctor, doctor, my arm hurts in 2 places!"
doctor: "So don't go to those places!"
does this sound like normal prostatitis and epdidymitis? No pain in the
morning I mean, and getting worse from sitting?
The pain is mostly prostate and epdidymal, but also sometimes takes the form of
painful sitbones, or tailbone. Ordinarily the pain is in mostly one place at a
time.
I abandoned the neural explanation for my troubles when levaquin seemed to work
so well, but now I'm not so sure.

Prostatitis pain sufferers often have problems with sitting.
I find interesting your comments on "mighty Levaquin". Yes,
I do know more than a quarter of a billion people have
been prescribed Levaquin. I am one of them. Took it as well
as other drugs including several antibiotics for a month.
Levaquin I took for almost a month. It did nothing for me. I did
however and still do have a number of problems that appear to have
been caused by it. And I haven't touched it for a month.
Your case may be different but I have found there are thousands
of people in various discussion groups (e.g. Yahoo one on Levaquin)
and a number of internet sites where victims of Quinolone based
antibitiocs vent their anger and grief. While I am not happy at
all I find these other people's symptoms and problems with Levaquin
and its "brothers" frightening.
