So what? We're smart enough to know that some posters have an ax to grind.

Hey, hey, this isn't a peer review journal, it's a mess -- personal anecdote,
what we "heard" somewhere, half-baked ideas and pooerly remembered personal
experience.
Yet for all that, valuable infomation comes through. And it will only come
though if you don't badger people.
For example, following threads and Googling I have often seen someone advocate
a crackpot cure and either:
1) he later advocates a DIFFERENT crackpot cure, which is one way to know the
first one didnt work; or
2) his post is answered by someone with interesting things to say.
I think there is a strong tendancy to believe whatever we are trying at the
moment works.
Let a 1000 crackpots and trolls bloom! We can tell the difference.

Never miss a good opportunity to shut the hell up! :)

You seem to forget that there are new sufferers every single bloody day and
if they come here and believe the bullshit that prick was likely paid to
promote then they may be taken in by it and end up suffering more!

It will NEVER come through if we allow trollers to push their crap on
newbies for an income!

You miss the point entirely. The BULLSHIT the prick promoted was known as
crap. Why keep pushing it? Pay would be one reason! We have a set of regimen
that DOES help in some way and it is all there is for now while we wait for
something that WILL work. Even his bullshit was tried when it was new before
being pronounced as crap. If someone came in here and said that sticking a
hot poker up his arse DID make the problem better, there would be no doubt
there would be people who would study the effect so we all could learn. In
short, new stuff isnt dismissed out of hand. Obvious paid-for-comment
bullshit is!

Newbies cant! THAT is where the biggest problem lays. Just because YOU know
what you are talking about, it doesn't mean the next 1000 readers of this
newsgroup do.
I know all this sort of crap from experience. I suffer more than one
incurable problem and I have almost fallen victim to the bullshit hyped by
idiots for the other major problem. Fortunately ONE staunch person who was
VOCAL in the defence of those who don't know any better set me right.
Unfortunately his health problem eventually caused him to commit suicide. I
was upset and horrified by that at the time. Years later, it is something
that keeps recurring to my thoughts. If I ever am unable to cope any longer,
I will probably get more serious about that escape but until then I don't
want to see people suffering as I am lambasted by BULLSHIT from people like
that prick!
