they say that if you take your age and convert it to a per centage of
the same value, that is how many men as a whole has had prostate
problems. so, in your case, about 40%.
that is also - usually in the 40's when a lot of men start having a lot
of prostate problems anyway.
you have a lot of issues and while diabetes is a disease than can cause
a lot of problems down the road, you need to get yourself checked over
by the doctor and get a psa test ran and the DRE. it is that time in
your life that this should be part of your physical.
it is not a canned answer of one size fits all on what you have.
the prostate is a wonder organ is some respects. to operate in the
dirtiest environment of having urine passing through it and sometimes, a
high concentration of urine at that and you know how that smells. well,
this organ has that left in it, plus to be an active part of the
reproduction process as well. it is designed to where blood flow can
not get to the infections that happen in the organ. and this organ works
for decades without any hint of a problem, but when it does act up, it
brings us to our knees.
also, you are starting to get prostate stones. another well kept secret
from men. and as you age, you get more stones.
you really need to stay focused for any sign of prostate cancer since
your dad had it. anyone who has had prostate on the male sign doubles
your chances, father/brother. and if both get it, your chances are
increase to five fold.
if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
you will find that as you get older, the modesty will go out the window.
hope this helps.

Sounds like your going down the path I've been on for some time.
You'll find many men suffering with prostate/bladder problems also
having lower GI problems as well.
I'm hypoglycemic rather than hyper and have lower gi problems that
seem to affect my bladder.prostate. (Bloating that causes pain in my
bladder to the point of excrutiating pain.)
Pain diminishes after releasing the gas.
Other symptoms are pain in my urinary tract and very painful
ejaculations.
ABX's help when I can take them.
You might have pyles either external or internal. They can become
inflamed and in extreme cases cause blockage. hence gas buildup.
I've only found one uro that was willing to confess that gas and
inflammation of the lower gi can exert pressure on the
bladder/prostate causing pain.
There are other things that can cause blockage, let a doctor check you
on those tho'.
>When this discomfort happens I don't usually have probelms urinating, but the
>feeling is uncomfortable enough that I worry about the other means of excreting.
>I also been diagnosed recently with having Type -2 Diabetes.
Start adding veggies to you diet as well as fiber.
I recommend broccoli and other leafy greens.
For fiber try rice bran, it's very gentle unlike wheat or other types.
Stay away from acidic drinks and stop all caffeine.
Fruit juices should be fresh squeezed not pastureized.(especially
since you're diabetic.)

>my mother-side died of it. I've also developed a case of Gynomastia (about two
>years ago), and while I do not smoke, nor take recreational drugs.
Start gradually exercising to reduce weight.
Genetics can be a bitch. Both sides of my family have lower GI
problems as well as prostate cancers in abundance.

Don't feel alone, many of us here got a similar deal in life.(I've had
asthma and chronic bronchitis for most of my adult life.)
You just gotta learn to deal as best you can.
Not a doctor, but I've read where cortico-steroids can really mess
with the natural production of testosterone which is so critical to
balanced health in males.(I spent long periods in hospital with
reconstructive surgeries some year back and was administered various
steroids(non-annabolic) to try and promote rapid healing.
They really killed production of test in my system.( I was into
competitive sports and it took nearly a year to get my natural levels
back up.)
That may be what's causing your Gynomastia. See if you can get off the
steriods for the asthma and get on something else.(barring that see if
the doctor is game about replacement therapy for your natural
testosterone. It'll just be a shot 2-3 times a month of test. should
help your sexual function as well.)
I'm personally convinced that dropping testosterone levels in males is
key to all the health problem we have, especially inregards to the
prostate/reproductive system.

I am 42 and have had the exact same symptoms you have described for
about 8 years. I have never had any problems with asthma or GI
infections of any kind at any time in my life. I have never smoked,
rarely drink, am at my correct weight, don't use drugs, exercise
moderately, and eat sensibly. I still have CP and cannot for the life
of me get rid of it! My guess is that you are stuck with it...at
least for now. You can try the antibacterials, brocoli crap,
Quercitin, saw palmetto, whatever, none will help very much. The
truth is that we simply don't know enough about how to fix what's
broken.

I avoid the gluco-steroids ,so I don't take them much for my asthma, never did.
It was only those times when I was hospitalized where they must have pumped me
full of Gluco-steroids..
I've seen a doctor about the Gynomastia, and presumed they tested me for
testosterone levels...I guess they said it was within a normal range. I dont
know about my liver function though, maybe that at fault here.

I was for many years involved in professional bodybuilding and ironman
competition.(Had to stop after sustaining severe injuries in an
automobile accident.)
Virtually all the men I know who are still in competition training
have no male sexual or urinary tract problem, in spite of what doctors
say about anabolic steroids causing enlargement of the prostate etc...
Most of these men used anabolics to maintain there testosterone levels
in their later years.
Ask any endocrinologist/immunologist, male immune function and overall
vitality is linked to their testosterone levels.
And while modern medicine can't explain completely why, supplementing
dropping levels with cyclic injections shows improved overall health
for most.
Before I started showing symptoms of bladder/prostate problems my test
levels were all normal(13-18 ppm), which is high compared to
statistical index numbers. the reason I probably never had to use
anabolics during my competitive years.
Around the third year into my ailments I had my doctor run a full
analysis/chem panel on my blood to check my levels.
They'd dropped to under 5ppm of active testosterone in my bloodstream.
And whether it's either causal or part of the symptoms one cycle of
Anathate reversed the chronic fatique and the prostate pain.
I'm not a doctor so can't render a actual medical opinion, just know
it worked for me while I took it.(Had to go to a sports medicine
doctor to get it, very expensive. My regular doctor wouldn't even
consider doing it, even though he had years of my bloodworks to prove
that test levels had dropped far below my normal levels.)
If I had the money you can be sure I'd be supplementing myself with
it.

I would still ask around..., but are there inexpensive versions of testosterone
out there...like the precursor of it androstiane, the stuff Mark Maguire was
taking?

Take note of what position you are in when this pain occurs. It may be due
to muscular constriction. I find it can be worse if you "come" standing up
or kneeling, or in the doggy position.
Best when lying on back, on side.
