I get so sick and tired of all you doctors and patients who have been
trying to convince us lately that we don't have bacterial infection in
our prostates. I for one happen to be a nostalgic and would like to
discuss prostatitis solely as a bacterial infectious decease, where
the Fallosianos and Polachucks (or something) will be our Gods and
guiding stars! We will start a new nostalgic movement and we will call
ourselves The Rimgrinders!

The "Retro" Prostatitis Movement?

Just what we need, a new "Flat Earth" society.

Listen up Buckwheat, if you feel nostalgic about antibiotics just go to any Uro
in your town and they will reintroduce you to antibiotics. That is how
prostatitis is treated -- with antibiotics.

We need to focus on what antibiotics work the best - the risk/rewards of taking
certain kinds of antibiotics and so on. That should be a major focus of this
News Group - otherwise it is pretty much worthless. Antibiotics where not
invented in Manila - they are the only therapy available for prostatitis, those
are the facts.

Spoken like a true Rimgrinder, niceshyguymiami! I hereby appoint you
as my ASS-istant in my movement against any ANTI antibiotic attitudes!

Two thirds of the men reading this post are on antibiotics. The other third
took antibiotics and have now stopped, yet antibiotics are not really discussed
here? Why is that? What is the big deal??

=====================

To start with, we get so many totally made up "facts" and statistics about  . . . (fill in the
blank? - antibiotics? - cures?)  . . . .  from people about whom we know absolutely nothing, who
never state their qualifications, who rarely state their evidence for posting whatever they claim,
and who on occasion display themselves to be irresponsible and ridiculous in their beliefs and other
statements.

He who shouts the loudest or longest wins - you call that discussion?

As soon as anyone states a reasonable opinion about anything, out come all the personal attacks,
from you and from others.

This group seems to be subnormal in this respect.

I would venture to suggest it's because everyone here is sick, and tries to blame everyone but
himself for his sickness.

Nobody with a real life wants to be bothered.

My point exactly! I can see that you will make a very good ASS-istant
in my battle against any new insight about prostatitis. That's what
the Rimgrinders are all about – we want to see prostatitis ONLY as a
bacterial infectious disease, thus focusing ONLY on antibiotic
treatment!
