I have just found this site today after doing a search on Prostatits, and never
heard of prostatitis untill an hour ago after going through a anatomy text book
looking up my symptoms.
I would like to list some of my symptoms and get opinions on whether I might
be suffering from the same thing as some of you here.
symptoms started 2 days ago and have not let up.
...had a quick and temporary sting in the urethra during urination and thought
I had passed something like a stone.
....I have not had any pain during urination since or any problem urinating.
....I have a constant ach in the perineal area that is worst when sitting
....the discomfort is center of the perineal area but also at the point where
the muscle attaches to the lower pelvic bone. If i feel the boney area with my
finger if feels almost like a bruised bone and this is on both sides. and is
simular to what you might get when riding a horse for the first time. I hope
the muscle is just strained and not a prostate problem which is kind of scary.
...Aching has not gotten worse but not better ither.
...I have no signs or symptoms of infection yet, no fever and no sediment in
urine.
...the only other times I have had any discomfort like this before was once a
coupple years ago when I was passing a kidney stone, but that involved blood in
the urine, lumbar aches, and trouble urinating, none of which i have now.
and once or twice after ejaculation where it felt like the prostate stayed
tightened up for a little while, that did interfer with urination but went
away quickly.
the only signs symptoms i had with the current pain is the sting in a urination
only once and the ach started the same night, and I have been spending alot of
time at the desk lately ant thought maybe the constant ache could be from
stressing the muscles in the area.
I would greatly appreciate any ideas, Thank you
Edward

hi Edward,
sounds like prostatitis, or chronic pelvic pain syndrome (cpps), you
will find more info at www.chronicprostatitis.com /
www.chronicpelvicpain.us, but regardless, i would see a URO and not
fall into the trap of reading into things too closely and going crazy.

Sounds like you've got pelvic pain syndrome or possibly a prostate
infection. Better head back to the Doc to get a proper diagnosis.
In my experience once you develop urinary tract/prostate problems you
never really go back to being trouble free.
You might well have more stones, either kidney or bladder.
Might be sitting all the time is exerting pressure and aggravation a
condition that is underlying(dormant).
I have the same problems with my pyles when I sit too much.
Which in turn leads to more back pain and urinary aches and pains.
