OK...first this is MY experience, I'M NOT SELLING ANYTHING and I make no
guarantees.

I'm not much of a writer so I'll get right to the points and you can agree
with them or not as you choose. I'm not interested in arguing the points. I
put the information out here in the hopes that it will help someone else or
maybe put someone on a similar track.

I have had 2 "bouts" of what has been classified by uros as Non-bacterial
prostatits. Both times I was on various courses of antibiotics including
Bactrim, Doxycycline and Cipro 500mg 3 times a day (first time for 5
months!) with little progress other than what I believe is the well
documented "anti-inflamatory effect" of antibiotics. First time was 4 years
ago for about a year and the latest I've just figured out how to get
asymptomatic a about a week ago.

In a nutshell...check your Urine PH. Go to a health food store, buy PH test
strips and check your PH. Remember that first urination of the morning is
always more acidic so you should average your days and ignore the first one
of the day.

I have changed my diet from largely acid producing foods to largely alkaline
foods and taking mineral supplements 3 times a day for a little over a week
and I've gone from burning and aching so bad it made me cry to being 99.999%
normal again. I urinate normally again and I'm so happy now I cry from joy
instead of pain.

My urine PH was averaging around 5.5 to 6 and although the medical community
says anything between 5 and 10 is "normal" it only makes sense to me that
you can get irritated and inflamed if you are subjecting your urethra and
bladder to excessively acidic urine. Further, if you look up Acidosis in any
medical textbook you will find that burning while urinating and muscle
cramps (think "headache in the pelvis" now...) are symptoms of acidosis
(amongst others)!

So consider this...your diet, like most peoples, probably is full of
acidiproducing foods. Pop, meat, white bread, etc. In my personal case I
realized that my first bout was triggered by drinking a lot of Pepsi
(because it helped my digestion) and only went away after I changed my diet
completely. It worked but I wasn't sure what part worked exactly. About 6
months ago I began drinking large amounts of club soda (digestion problems
again) and boom...my aching and burning came back. Carbon dioxide is VERY
acidic. Starting to see the common thread?

The supplement I have been taking is called Alcabase, it was the only one I
could get locally, but there are many others. I started taking 2
teaspoonfuls 3 times a day in warm water just before meals and it made a
huge difference for me. I find my urine PH needs to be maintained at 7.8 to
8.2 for maximum effect.

To anyone interested in trying this I would suggest a couple of books. One
is called "The acid-alkaline diet for optimum health" by Christopher Vasey,
N.D. ISBN 089281-99-8 and the other is "The PH Miracle" by Robert O. Young
and Shelley Redford Young ISBN 0-446-6049-x, which is aimed at losing weight
primarily (which has been a very welcome "side effect" of this diet by the
way...).

So there you go, take a shot, you've got little to lose and huge possible
gains.

Oh and by the way...I have more energy, my indigestion is non-existent, by
bowel movements are amazingly regular, I don;t feel cold as often, I sleep
with the covers off instead of huddling under them...and yes, I'm ranting.
Time will tell if this is truly the cure-all it seems to be for me at the
moment.

If you try it and it works for you I'd love to hear about it, if it doesn't
i'd be interested to hear as well. rick-lists@duvals.ca Just please, don't
flame me, I'm only trying to share my success in the hopes of helping end or
reduce someone elses suffering.

I recommend /Prelief/ over all other urinary PH normalizers.
