I can't stand it no more!
I've been suffering cp for 1year and 10 months, and i have tried many
things:
antibiotics(now i am still on abc as the new doc found pseudomonas a.
almost everywhere) alpha-blokers (i'm on doxosazin since 9 months)
antinflammatory, permixon (9 months ago it was doing something but now
nothing) i quit drinking, i quit drugs i do not smoke too much (4-5
cigaretts a day) i tried with diet i tried with baclofen (maybe give
also some erectile disfuntion.
NOw i am tring also with broccoli!
I can't sit, i can't drive a car i can't go out with girls and i have
also EPIDIDIMYS (i had also an operation in november but did not
worked)
The size of my prostate is quite normal 19 grams, but have some
calcification, it is not boggy, my uretra is red and i have pain in my
left testicle.
I do not know what to do and i am only 28.
In June i have an appointment in Mayo Clinic Rochester and see if i
could ever do something for this.
Is it the right palce to go in Us? I think my problem is related to
pelvic floor.
Please tell me if it is the right place to go in US?
Ciao Carlo

From everything I have ever seen posted here, the Mayo Clinic seems to
have no interest or expertise in chronic prostatitis or chronic pelvic
pain.

Hi Ciao,
I dont know what kinda bacteria that is, but it may not even be a
problem.
You have to find out whether its normal flora or not. I wouldnt be
taking all these anti-biotics unless its a non normal flora bacteria.
however, it might be your problem, hence you have the pain in the left
testicle. i would go and see an 'infectious disease specialist' first
to see if its an infection of some sort. i do not think it would have
to do with your pelvic floor because you would have urinary problems
and pain around the pelvic region. but i may be wrong, im not a
doctor. you can go to www.chronicpelvicpain.us for info on pelvic
pain. but you might stir some heads if you start questioning bacteria
as a possible culprit.

Carlo,
I dont know where the Mayo clinic is, however, there is a Prostatitis
Clinic here in Southern California, that was founded by Dr.Zeitlin,
who worked hand in hand with Dr. Shokes, so this might be somewhere
you might want to go. I am going to check this place out tomorrow. Ill
bring back some feedback.
