Not sure if the last one went through. Sorry, for not believing some of you about Bacteria and E.Coli. Well, it turns out that I do in fact have "Escherichia Coli." I had like 5 urinalysis/cultures before, none of which discovered it. This last one said "susceptibility listed below.... 10,000-50,000 organisms/ml, ESCHERICHIA COLI". What do you think of this. I > thought infections required 10^5 organisms/colonies. My PCP said its no big deal. He said that its not considered a pathogen. But he gave me 14 days of cipro, 500mg. I have already ordered 2 more cultures to see if it shows up, or to see if it was some contaminant. Is E-Coli usually resistant to Tetracyclines? |
