I have posted my story...not many respond.

Here is a summary.

Had burning on urination.  IVP was done.
IVP showed a slightly enlarged prostate.
Urianalysis came back negative.
blood work was okay.

sent to uro.
around this time started experiencing slight discharge. clear
discharge.
did more blood work for STDs.  came back negative.
did a urine culture.  negative.
semen analysis.   all in range.
semen culture.    negative.
chlamydia swab culture    negative.

what else is there to do???
still have discharge. no prostate pain. no lower back , abdomen pain.
no pain on ejaculation. non of the prostate like symptoms.

i think at times when i have a bowel movement i do see a little of
that clear stuff out my penis. but at times without that i see it too.

So no evidence points to bacteria as the culprit. I'd start by reading the
following websites carefully:
http://www.chronicpelvicpain.us
and see the suggested treatments at
http://www.chronicprostatitis.com

Mast Cells,

Hey, thanks for responding. I appreciate your response. Thanks for the
information too. However, I dont have chronic pelvic pain. Im not sure
if I have chronic prostatitis either. I dont really have any symptoms
other than the clear discharge sometimes with sometimes without bowel
movement. I think it might be slightly congested, and therefore its
leaking this clear stuff???? Or maybe it is urethritis??? However,
when the URO pressed on it during the DRE, nothing came out, so i dont
know.

I thought you said that you had burning on urination (dysuria)? That would be a
kind of pelvic pain. Do you still have that symptom? And how frequently do you
have to urinate?

That's actually a very common symptom of prostatitis, but nothing to get
worried about. BTW, how old are you?

Mast Cells,

Sorry I forgot to mention that. My burning on urination stopped after
I had the IVP. Maybe there was some sort of UTI and it was flushed
out??? The IVP indication was a UTI and possible prostatitis because
it assumed it was slightly enlarged because of the extrinsic pressure
on the bladder and a moderate retention. I dont have to urinate
frequently. I am 23 years of age. And very inactive.

Thanks for your interest.

I have no explanation for why the IVP stopped your burning. I'll make some
additional comments in the other forum in response to your post there.

10 mg  of amytriptiline at bed time and propoxyphene 3 times a day.

Have you checked into trichmoniasis? I hear it's hard to detect in men, and
produces few, if any, symptoms. It's not a bacteria, but a protozoan.
