Wow! You really are asking me to recall. Strains of Staph, Strep and
Urea Plasms were cultured. I'll have to get with Tucson as I know
there are several strains of each. Zithromax seemed to be the drug
that did the trick for me.
Just read an interesting article by Reuters. The article discussed
how STD's (specifically tric) are not cultured and/or identified
properly by docs. Stated that Docs are using outdated forms of wet
mount which are not very accurate. There seems to be a more accurate
test out there, but it is more expensive and takes longer to culture
the bacteria/parasite. Here is a clip from the article:
"Some research suggests trichomoniasis may contribute to male and
female infertility, and to prostate inflammation in men."
Just interesting.

Thanks, but the actual names would be of most benefit. I know each and every
outcome of every lab test I have ever had. Staph and Strep are practically
useless information for anyone reading trying to compare. No offence to you
of course, but that's the truth of it.

Your right to point out the flaws in standard culturing. As time goes by,
this is becoming painstakenly apparent.

Good morning Salo. No idea if the massages will help with ED. Thats a
question for the docs who are reading. Massage along with ABX did
take away the pain in MY prostate. For me the sitting pain was the
worst. Just having my prostate touched sent me flying off the exam
table. But by the 3 or 4th (this was 4 yrs ago, just turned 40 and
the memory is going) massage the prostate pain went away. By the 10th
massage, things were just about to normal. Again, my case may be
different, my prostate had become very soft, large and painful. ABX
had always taken away the pain, but the massages kicked them into high
gear.
I personally believe there are several therapies that work for
Prostatitis. I have a friend who just let time take care of things
and that seemed to work. I also have read the research from Dr. Wise
and also agree that there is a percentage of the population that may
have pelvic muscle issues. However, I think the majority of sufferers
probably have an infection that has dug itself into the prostatic
tissue. The fact that local uros cant/wont culture a bacteria doesnt
rule out infection. The fact that a one person can be a "carrier" of
a certain bacteria with no symptoms doesnt mean that same bacteria
wont be a problem for someone else. This really is a big mess, but
thankfully we have websites such as this as well as the Prostatitis
Foundation to discuss, debate and educate each other.
Good luck.

from as well.
