i got great results with this(drainage) going only once a week and sometime
every other.  100% decrease in symptoms.  the problem is my insurance doesnt
cover this particular urologist and even though hes willing to work with me
their billing dep. is apparently not. i dont really want to start over with a
new uro and i found this website that says you can do it yourself.  i was
wondering if this is safe and as effective as a uro doing it.  anyone have any
experiance?

Self drainage is safe and easy to do - all you need is a stiff dildo like
object. lets say a metalic cigar test tube holder.

You have completed the drainage when you see some liquid at the tip of your
penis.

You do not have to massage any further and you do not have to exert great
amounts of force to get the small amount of liquid out -- good luck

Glad your feeling better.  Nice to see a Uro practicing prostate
massage.  I also hope he has you on an aggressive abx regimine.   My
first Uro also belived in massages but was pretty honest with me
stating that it may take several months and he didnt have the time.
My wife and I went to the Tucson clinic where my wife was taught the
technique.  We did the three massage thing per week and it made all
the difference.  I personally cant self massage, not limber enough.
But I have ran into several patients in Tucson who have mastered this
and are doing very well.
