Prostatitis causes testicle sensitivity?

I've had prostatitis for years. Showed up in two prostate
biopsies. No symptoms though. Lately my testicles, especially the
left, have been sensitive and sometimes painful at times,
especially when lying in bed. It seems to be initiated by
pressure from underwear, trousers, whatever. Or is this from my
chronic diverticulitis? Or something new, like prostate cancer?

TIA

Could be.  Could be any of the above.

Recall that the prostate is connected to the testes through the vas deferens
and the epididymous.

The usual treatment for epididymitis is antibiotics.  "Always" works.  (As
in, except when it doesn't.)

Actually, if it didn't "blow up" in about a day, it's probably not a
bacterial infection.  But the doctors treat it the same.

I don't know what the standard treatment for orchitis is.  Shrug the
shoulders and say, "Gee, I don't know."
