Non-specific prostititis? Consider a lumbar spine disorder as why.

I spent over 800 days in chronic, diffuse, and narcotic-level pain in my
pelvis, abdomin, lower back, upper gluteals, and  in my legs (the inside of
both thieghs and the back of my left leg)  without a definitive diagnosis from
any of the M.D.'s , including the four urologist's, that examined me.  Yes, I
had a non;specific prostititis, chronic pelvic pain and all the signs of
needing the help of a urologist, but like so many of you, I'm sure, I did not
get better with any of the "standards" now used to treat a non-bacterial
prostititis.( I'm sure you are all familiar with these "standards", so I won't
list them.)   To get to the point , I found a web-site named  "www.PPOD
Syndrome.com."  that is the result of 23 years of research and clinical
experience in treating, "so far not diagnosed",  patients with chronic pelvic
pain (including n-s prostititis)  by Dr. Jim Browning, a chiropractor located
in Sutton's Bay, Michigan.  If your story sounds like mine, go to this website
and at the very least fill out the "questionaire" that will rate your symptoms
for being at  risk for having this syndrome.  If you match up well for being at
risk, I urge you to investigate and follow through with the treatment.
Depending on the severity of your condition, it might not take long time to
heal or it could take up to a year or more before your symptoms go away.  I was
treated for 7 weeks (6 days a week) by Dr. Browning in Michigan and now I am
back home being treated by a local chiroprator with experience in "PPOD"
treatment techniques, (now, 3 days a week).  I still have a long way to go
before I will be completely healed, but at least I'm finally making some
improvement.  I hope this might help some of you that are fed up with what the
M.D. urologic types have been putting you through without any positive results.
Good luck.

The web site is a model of informative display.  Suggested costs of all treatments and related
travel costs are all there.  Thank you very much for your post.

I have had back injuries of various sorts playing sports over the years, and I deal with pains from
spinal compression injuries leftover from college football days decades ago.  Now, if I massage a
muscley sort of lump which occurs on my lower left back, it will immediately make things happen,
like my testicular pain goes away.

I don't think it's appropriate to jump to conclusions, but the lump occurs right where I banged my
lower back against the back of a goal post in an ice hockey game 21 years ago - just about the time
all this started.

Everything I do makes me feel better and seems to improve things.  But then the urinary tract
infection comes back to haunt me again weeks or months later, whenever I have any sexual activity,
and I'm worried that it is becoming more resistant to the antibiotics which initially appeared to be
the final cure.

Zithromax makes this UTI go away immediately temporarily, but I don't want to live on pills for the
rest of my life !!????  I also have an indistinct numbness down the inside of my left thigh that
disappears when I take the anti-biotic.  So it is a little difficult to establish cause and effect
here, at least in a conversational way if not a clinical way.

What is the result of your chiropractic treatment on your chronic prostatitis and UTI, especially in
the prescence of continued sexual activity, if you don't mind me asking?

- Tom
