Hair Analysis?

Hello,
I've been suffering from prostatitis for several years now. I got tired
of just taking antibiotics, and decided to try a "natural doctor". His first
step was to do a hair analysis. The test shows a very high (2.3 out of 2.5)
level of lead. He now wants me to take supplements and treatments which are
not covered by insurance. Has anyone else had this experience? I'm afraid
the hair analysis is a gimmick, and plan on showing it to my family doctor
and uro. But, at the same time I'm curious about the results. If I thought
the supplement's would work, I wouldn't hesitate, since conventional
medicine hasn't work. Any advice?

Thanks,
Larry

I have tried this - taking mineral supplements based on a hair
analysis and it did NOT work. Also check the following link and save

Don't get taken in by everything. Sure there are quacks but quacks also
exist in warning sites. They use hair analysis to pick up previous drug use
in sports people. It works.

I don't know about your particular analysis. Eg, it MAY have been done by a
scammer.

That said, a hair analysis done by a real medical person certainly IS true.
They do that quite a lot. It reveals drugs in sports people (drugs able to
be detected) too, even though they may not have taken them for some months.
If the person you went to wasn't a scammer then the hair analysis WILL be
correct.

Even if you do have a high lead concentration, this may not be connected to
your prostate problem. Take the results of the test to a conventional MD to
find out if this concentration of lead is dangerous in other ways. Lead can
cause neurological problems.
