All I can really tell you is that i had chronic prostatitis
for 30 plus years. suffered unbelievably with it.
I found that one of the antagonist for my problems were cholesterol
drugs.
Stopped them and got a whole lot better.
but still experienced substancial pain.
My dr. put me finally put me one 15 mg of methadone 3x aday
he also put me on 100 mg of lyrica 2 times a day,
He only did this after a pretty much had a nervous breakdown.
Now i have very little problems with chronic prostatitis anymore

Thanks for this information; I've looked up Lyrica a bit; apparently
there's a clinical trial going on at this time. I haven't yet looked
into Methadone, but I definitely intend to...
Evidently your doctor acted with these medications because you were in
very bad shape over this nightmare. Were/are there any unwanted side
effects from these? Are you still taking them? Also, I do not
understand your phrase "cholesterol drugs".
Thanks for your help in this; I appreciate your responding to my
request for help....
