Hello:
i was diagnosed with prostatitis almost two years ago through a
cystoscopy.
I saw another urologist in June, and his analysis was that i did not
have prostatitis due to the following factors:
1. normal low PSA level (he said that most people with prostatitis had
a high level),
2. low white cell count (he said if i had an inflammation that the
count should be higher)
3. no culture developed from my sperm (which would indicate
prostatitis caused by bacteria).

what are the opinions of others on this board regarding this
urologist's analysis?

I don't know about anyone else, but I think he's dead wrong. It is
possible to have prostatitis with a normal PSA. It is possible to have
non-bacterial prostatitis with a low white cell count and with nothing
developing on a culture.
