I started Bactrim DS last night for a suspected prostate infection and
also possible kidney infection.
I have only taken two pills but already am feeling not quite right.
Main Symptoms:
Swollen tongue with white film on it
Top of right arm feels very warm as if I had a mild sunburn (but
little or no visible redness).
I have called and left a message for my doctor but in the meantime
wanted to get some opinions here.
Does anyone know if these kind of side-effects mean that I should stop
taking it?
I know skin reactions are fairly common but there are also less common
life-threatening conditions like SJS and TEN.
Input would be appreciated.

My doctor has taken me off Bactrim due to possible reaction and put me
on Keflex while we wait for the culture which should be done by next
week.
I take my first dose of Keflex tonight.
Fun times...
