I'm a weight trainer, runner, sex lover, and have osteoporosis.
A urologist just put me on avodart, and reading the pamphlet, it seems
to
counteract testosterone. Am I reading this correctly? If so, it would
decrease,
everything I enjoy in life for some more urine flow. I have no cancer.
Plus,
it increases my risk of osteoporosis and depression.
Am I reading this correctly?

Yes, but these effects are sometimes very small. It depends upon the
individual.

Does somebody know about the followingg?
It is claimed that Avodart can shrink a prostate up to 30%. Does this
mean that, after obtaining that result, you can stop the medication
and that the prostate starts its natural growth again, as slow as it
did before using Avodart? Or will there be an accelerated growth until
the prostate has its former big size again?

With Avodart or Proscar, discontinuing treatment will result in the prostate
gradually resuming it's previously untreated condition. If you are taking
either one of these drugs, be sure to consult your doctor before discontinuing
treatment.
