Sweating problems

My father had his prostate removed several years ago.  Ever since the
operation, he has a severe sweating problem.  He sweats profusely from
his head when doing any light physical activity.  He thinks that it is
related to the prostate surgery. Also, he saw something about this on
the local news a few years back, but did not have time to write down
the medication.

Anybody have any experience with this, or know of a resource that can
assist me with finding out how to treat this?

His doctor is not the best - for this sweating problem he has
prescribed halcion and Clonidine, neither of which is specifically
used for sweating, as far as my web research has indicated.

Thank you for any information you can provide.

Sweating is usually a result of "hot flashes" that come along with hormone
therapy. Some antibiotics can cause night sweats. Otherwise I haven't heard
of this problem as a result of a prostatectomy.
