Blood in Urine ( Hematuria)

Been On Atkins for approx. 4 months. Have lost 30 pounds and feel
great. Noticed, however, darkness in urine when I get dehydrated. Went
to Doctor for check up and urine test revealed "moderate" amount of
blood in urine. Checked prostate and said it was fine. Has ordered
test for Kidney stones. No other symptoms. I have read about possible
side effects on kidneys while on Atkins and wondered if anyone else
had experienced these same symptoms?

Nope. But, in 1999, Atkin's landed me in the hospital for 4 days with
diverticulitis.

My non-medical opinion: if this continues, it should be checked out more
thoroughly. Blood in urine can be from other things besides prostate and
kidneys (bladder for example).
