Diagnosed with PC in 1999.

I had Brachytherapy in May 2000.

I have been having blood in my semen for three months.  My uro
prescribed Levaquin(500 MG) for 2 weeks suspecting prostatitis.

Now three months have gone by with no change in the blood.

Both uro and primary care doctors say "don't worry".

Does anyone have any experience?

===========hi sherwin - can't help you in what you are going through because i
didn't have brachytherapy, but can pass on when i had the biopsy.  they
said that there would be a little blood afterwards in the semen and
urine.  urine straighten up in a couple of days, but the semen took
almost a month.  from what i've read up on, it appears that the blood
vessels sorta of "leak" in this vast area of the prostate and that was
why it took so long to clear up and that was due to just getting stuck
the one time.

so, if you are passing blood, and they are saying, "don't worry about
it"  i guess my first response to would be to stand on the uro's
shoulders and ask "why should i not worry?"  and stay on his shoulders
until i was sure i was getting the right answers because he should be
able to explain it to you what is going on in your body and why you
shouldn't worry.

hope this helps.

Something is causing blood to leak.  Prostatitis is treatable.  I think I'd
keep on his back until he fixed the problem.

No experience here, but if I had blood there I'd be worried, but I'm a
notorious worrier about almost everything.

Keep on it until your concerns are satisfied.
