It sounds like you have the problems of a diabetic.

Have you had a PSA test? I also have diabetes (diet controlled) but a
PSA of 4.9 was my first indicator of potential PCa which a biopsy
confirmed. There are no symptoms with early PCa, especially not
ED-related.

Maybe so, I was just wondering if these are typical symptoms of a prostate
problem too

You should have a digital rectal exam and PSA blood test to check on
prostate health. However, erectile dysfunction (ED) is commonly
associated with diabetes and you should seek treatment. Drugs like
Viagra or Cialis may be helpful. There are also injections like
Caverject and Trimix that are regularly used by diabetics to induce
erections. Vacuum pumps are available with a prescription that can help
produce and sustain an erection. The Osbon ErecAid is one of those. Ask
your physician or make an appointment with a urologist or ED clinic.
This is a very common problem associated with diabetes and it can be
managed. The advantages far outweigh any initial embarassment in
raising the problem with the medical community who are accustomed to
dealing with this issue.
