My prostatectomy was by a urologist, nine years ago, in Los Angeles.
Subsequent care was by an oncologist/hemotologist. Now, I'm in New
England, with a high PSA, and looking for doctor. Should I look for a
urologist, oncologist or some other specialist? Any recommendations?

Hard to say. It's a guess, but it appears to be PSAR (PSA recurrence).
Might be confined to the prostate "bed" or systemic. He needs more
information.
I'd recommend that Ken consult *both* types of oncologist, medical and
radiologic. Based upon their recommendations, he could then elect the dx
course and tx he finds best suits him.
As for a urologist, that's a surgeon. Ken has gone beyond surgery, I
suspect.

I had a similar experience. Went to a uro who was able to successfully treat
the rising psa with Lupron Depot. About 5 years later, after watching the
psa creep up, he referred me to a Oncologist and the both of them are
looking after my condition with different types of medications. At the
onset, suggest going to a uro first.
