Obtaining ultrasensitive PSA testing

Hello to the group.  I have a question for anyone who has found a strategy
for dealing with this problem.

I am located in CT and have been getting ultrasensitive PSA tests (MRL of
.01 ng/dl) through Dianon/Labcorp  (I had an RP).  Nobody else in CT offers
the ultrasensitive PSA test that I know of.  More than half the time, they
do the wrong test, and even if they do the correct test they don't cc the
results to me (even though it says so on the lab slip).

There are valid reasons for me to get the ultrasensitive test (my MD
agrees); has anyone found a solution in the Northeast?

Thanks!

Feel free to e-mail responses.

A qoute from Dr Strum -I am sure you can find the DPC utrasenstivie PSA test in
your area -The DPC Psa test  will read down to 0.003.
Below is a posting by Dr Strum .

Always VALIDATE any critical test result. Therefore, repeat the PSA at the
very least. In men post RP, the ultra-sensitive PSA by DPC should
be used.
They also have a web site
go to
http://www.dpcweb.com

Call Jon McDermed at DPC (1-800-986-1001 ext 7038) or email
info@dpconline.com to obtain information on labs in your area that do the
3rd Generation Immulite PSA assay.
