The penile injection (mention in earlier my message)is my urologist's
favoured erection producing device, followed by the vacuum-pump, with
a distant third, the 'penile implant', the last of which I reject out
of hand so to speak. I was wondering whether anyone has had experience
of the first two, ie. the injection & the pump, & whether you can give
me an idea of the pros & cons of the two? I know for sure that my
youthful female urological nurse (she who handles all 'hands-on'
penile erection matters for my urologist)has NO personal experience as
a consumer of the products, & I very much doubt that the urologist for
that matter, has ever experienced either method in training, much less
'in the heat of battle'. As such, I would again beseech you good
chaps/guys who have used either method to give me actual consumer
advice.

I used a pump for about 18 months until erections started to return.  It
worked pretty well for us.  I got one made by the Timm Company, which
provides an 800 help line, which I found quite useful.  They recommend
"training" with it for several weeks.   There is a technique, which is
not too difficult, and once you get it, it works pretty well at
producing a usable erection.

There are some downsides.  The tension ring can reduce sensitivity a
bit.  Also, the penis is cold, which is obvious to your partner, and not
to you.  It didn't bother my wife, who found the experience quite
satisfying.   Since the erection only extends from the ring, you have to
guide your penis into place, since otherwise it would tend to flop
around.  Also, in my case at least, it was larger in girth than my
normal erection, and penetration was sometimes a bit difficult.  The use
of lubricating jellies solved that problem.

Have used both, the injection and pump. with VERY poor results. So bad in
fact that my wife and I have had to find other means of sharing our love.

The first attempt at injection was administered by the UR in his office.
This resulted in an erection that was so hard it brought tears to my eyes
and extreme pain which lasted over five hours. After a few days, reduced the
dose to less than 1/4 recommended with identical results. The pain was
intense and nothing we did gave any relief. The pump produced about the same
painful result though the erection lasted only a short while. Even if the
erection lasted the appropriate time, the pain was so bad, I could not stay
in the "mood" and that impacted my wife's "mood" as well.

With professional guidance, reviewed all the procedures and nothing helped.

My wife and I have a long term (46 years) and full of very warm love but
unfortunately, not the physical aspect we enjoyed for a long time.
