Has anyone experienced swelling of the feet with uroxatral?  If so, did
the side effect go away with time?

Thanks in advance for all replies.

Hi CJ:

I was on Uroxatral from end of May until Feb 6, 2005, with a 5 week med
vacation in Sept.  Never had that side effect.  Found it did give me low
back pain, made me tired, somewhat depressed and irritable.  Since being
off it, I have no back pain, feel more energetic and less depressed.  I
find it much easier to exercise on the treadmill.  I am 61 yrs old, had
quadruple by pass surgery 6/2002.

I was on it for about 6 weeks. It made me feel tired, and at times
lightheaded and dizzy. And constipated too.

No swelling in my feet though.

CJ:  danger!  The alpha blockers work by lowering blood pressure.  You
should read about the side effects either in the pamphlet or contact your
doctor or pharmacist right away.  Swelling is associated to water retention
and that, in turn, often to circulatory problems.  Your doctor should be
immediately consulted...in my opinion.   I don't mean to scare you, but this
newsgroup is full of mixed facts and half-informed opinions, including me,
too.  Hence you may want a real doctor to weigh in on your questions...and
soon.   Best of luck.
