I see mention of Uroxatral. I've used flomax for years. It worked great, but
now things are heading south.

I've also read about Uroxatral, which is a newer medication, but it seems to
work on the same principal as flomax (alpha blocker).

So, anyone experience BOTH of these drugs???

Is it possible that Uroxatral might work when flomax won't??

(Please don't urge me to get a PVP --- I'm aware of that and I suspect I
will get one, but right now I am looking at delaying things just a bit
longer, if possible).

Yeah..I was on both.  I switched from Flomax to Xatrol because I was unhappy
with retro.  Retro went away with Xatrol, but I still had all the other side
effects that I also had on Flomax.  Also, you might ask your doctor to
titrate your dosage of Flomax if you are happy with Flomax.  I don't know if
they can do that since  mine came in capsule form.  Xatrol I was able to
bite a second tablet in half.  I did that without doctors advice and later
when I told my doctor all my research and my decisions to titrate and to
stop taking 5-Alpha Reductase Inhibitors (prescribed DHT inhibitor), he was
impressed and commented "good follow up".  I don't suggest that you
experiment on your own, but am telling you my story so you can at least ask
the question of titrating the dosage if you want to hold of on the operation
a bit longer.   Best of luck to you.
