Today I saw my regular uro in Seattle for the yearly DRE. All is well.
I informed him about PVP by Dr Laub in Santa Barbara in May. He was
impressed with the results and understanding for going out of town for
treatment. We have now PVP in Seatlle.
I average 23 ml/sec, some low 16 to 20 first thing in the morning. When
fully awake it is between and 32 and some maxima higher than 32. Before PVP
, 12 ml/sec was very good and the average was an agonizing 8 despite
Flowmax, saw palmetto and careful diet.
The bladder holds up to 600 ml and sometimes I last 4-5 hours. I get up
usually once per night.
No retro, no urgency, no incontinence, no burning, no meds. BPH misery is
gone.
PVP for me, is more than hoped for. Before PVP my life was dictated BPH
considerations. Fear of lack of toilets and of an acute shut down was
constantly on my mind.
Also, knowing that BPH was not going to get any better with time was very
depressing. Something had to be done and I'm glad I did.
Now retirement and life is good again.
Thanks to all the courageous "pioneers' who posted and ecouraged me seek
treatment.

I have an appointment with Dr. Te in NYC in October, I want to be able to
report similar results when he is finished with me! Jim W.
