Hey, Guys!

I'm a guy in my late 50's.  Had a TURP of the third lobe last week.  Had
a top Uro and it seemed to go well.  5 days have passed, and I have an
aching in my loins.  Passing very little blood or clots.  Sitting seems
to aggravate both.

Does this seem normal to those of you who've gone through this?

Thanks,

Rob

Are you certain that it did not happen with your laser TURP, the
procedure which you describe so quaintly as a NBG or PVP or whatever,
or could there be a simple explanation i.e. that you are particularly
insensitive ?

Actually i am highly sensitive and in not the best of health generally and
had run a mile from a TURP for many reasons .......PVP was a breeze both
from the op and textbook recovery

Sorry,  best wishes for good health for you in 2005.

I had a PVP.  Slight aching in the prostate area, [ not sure what you
encompass by "loin"] is most noticeable ONLY when sitting for more than 1/2
hour.  Remember they did cut away at a gland and that ought to hurt
somewhat, regardless of what procedure they use.  Best of luck to you in
your recovery.  Do take it slow and easy.

Best wishes for a quick recovery and a happy new year.
Just take it easy for a while.

Rob:  I read the "After PVP..." post at the following website and think this
may also be informative for you to check out. [See point #3 & 4 about pain.]
Best of luck with your recuperation...
