Hi. I've been taking a 500mg tablet of apple pectin (soluble fiber)
every morning along with oatmeal. It recently occurred to me that this
might affect the absorption of Propecia, which i usually take around
mid-day. For example, I've read that some thyroid medications are not
supposed to be taken within 8 hours of taking fiber. I'd prefer not to
change the time that i take the Propecia. Should i be concerned?
Thanks.

Can't answer your question for sure, but I do know that the directions for
Metamucil (also a soluble fiber) state that prescription medications should
not be taken within two hours before or after taking the Metamucil.
