Just started using Flomax. Am having a stuffy nose and headache. I
know these are common side effects. Just wondering... will they last
as long as I'm on Flomax or will they subside? Also... how long
before I can expect the Flomax to start working? Thanks!

I had a stuffy nose which got better after a couple of weeks but never
seemed to completely clear up. I had no headaches. It also affected (i.e.,
significantly reduced) the amount of ejaculate. It didn't work for me so I
stopped after 7 or 8 weeks. The literature says it should start to work
within a couple of days but my GP said give it 3-4 weeks.

Thanks for your personal account. It's only been a few days so I
think I'll give it some more time. I think I see some improvement,
however, already.

Dave,
For me, Flowmax started working within a day. I had some side effects. I
felt like I gained ten pounds and ejaculation was inconclusive. Sex was
better if done just before Flowmax was due.
Flowmax worked well for 9 month and then it tapered off. This was the
signal to get on with PVP. To me, Flowmax was just a fix until I could
arrange PVP. I never increased the dosage beyond 0.4 mg.
Good luck
