Quick survey of this newsgroup?? Are you affected by the following: Beer,
Wine or Fried Food? If so, let us know. Or, if none of these, but
something else aggravates your BPH, please specify what aggravates your BPH.
I'd be happy to tally on behalf of this newsgroup and report back to this
newsgroup. Thanks.

The result of drinking beer gets me up a few times in the night, but
drinking lager has the same effect on my wife...... I don't think she
has a prostate problem! Surely it's a balance between enjoying your life
and dealing with your BPH symptoms?

I think the problem with many (myself included) is not that after beer we
have to get up during the night, but that when we do we find it difficult to
urinate. I agree with your sentiment though, and I still go out on a Friday
night with the 'boys'. I just drink less and get ready with the ISC if need
be.
For the survey it's red wine and beer that stops my tap, nearly anyway

Beer, Wine, Hard cheese, Antihistamines (Tylenol PM, Alkazelzer
Plus),coffee.
Pre PVP, I avoided these items because they made voiding almost impossible,
especially the antihistamines. Now I notice a reduced flow when I take them.

Coffee slows my stream, even after my PVP.
James Mullins - 07 Dec 2004 18:27 GMT
Decongestants - very bad. Antihistamines - OK. Coffee increases
frequency, but does not affect stream.
