I'm in my 70's and had a TURP last year.  Would like to hear from some
one about my age who has had the TURP.

I had one six years ago at age 68.  It has been very successful with no
side-effects other than retrograde ejaculation, which has been no big deal
for me.  I was having some problems maintaining an erection before surgery
which improved greatly after the TURP.

I'm also 70, I know the feeling and it leaves you feeling unsatisfied after
what should have been great sex. It's been 5 years since my TURP and as the
prostate grows again I begin to feel more like before, the ability to CUM is
returning but the process that recovers this will likely prove the source of
a new problem, repeated need for surgery. Sorry people but I have to report
that "the Golden years suck.
