Laserscope posted quarterly results today and said they sold 10,000 fibers
in the past 3 months.  This means that there are now over 3000 PVPs are
being done every month around the country.

They also estimated the worldwide market for PVPs to be over 1 million per
year.

Will that bring the price down? In the UK a Laserscope fibre costs ?750, one
for the Gyrus method ?200 and the TURP cutting tool ?40. For the NHS cost
comes first.
