I have had BPH for years. Getting tired of getting out of bed every two hours.
Recently saw piece on PVP from Cornell U. Is it the miracle that I am looking
for. My Urologist is very conservative. Held me off Laser because of horrow
stories of burned out Colons.
Anyone out there have this new procedure????
I had it 15 months ago. I'm glad I did. My prostate was very large. One
URO who did PVPs told me that my prostate was the biggest that he ever saw
in thirty years of practice. It took a lot of research on my part, but with
the help of the people on this news group I was directed to Dr. Lin in
Florida. Dr Lin has dealt with large prostates and did mine. I found that
the operation and the recovery was endurable. It's not a walk in the park
like some have indicated. There was painful burning urination for weeks
after the operation. I did have "retro" for a long time but this is not a
big deal and it seems to be returning to normal. At 65 years of age I can
now pee like a young man, sleep thru the night, and travel with out worry
about frequent need for a bath room.
I strongly urge you to find a highly recommended and experienced URO for the
PVP. If one is not near where you live, travel to where one is.
