I am puzzled. Nobody on this group seems to be mentioning details of, or
challenging their doctors for, blood workups. I'm curious as to why not?
Would I be correct in assuming that most/many of you did have blood workups
but found your DHT was within the "normal" range but that your prostate
still was enlarged, hence, that is why you are on AVODART or PROSCAR and/or
getting a roto-rooter(TURP, PVP, etc.)? Or, is your doctor just guessing or
ignoring your blood work when prescribing the meds or the roto-rooter? Just
curious. Thanks.

You have convinced me about the importance of detailed bloodwork.
Will insist on it next time I see my uro. Anyone know a good
endocrinologist in greater Washington DC or Baltimore areas who's an
expert on DHT and BPH issues?
Many thanks,
Fred
