Is it possible that a  bladder could become so enlarged  by BPH that
it could  cause a Hiatus Hernia?

No.  There are, however, certain medications prescribed for BPH that can
aggravate an existing mild GERD condition.  These medications are muscle
relaxants.  They will relax the esophogeal sphincter muscle thus allowing
acid reflux.  Are you taking any medications?

Yup ........6 months on the muscle relaxants .......get the BPH fixed by PVP
.......6 months later got a hiatus hernia

Bit like the old song
"Twas on a monday morning the gasman came to call "

The side effects of medicines simply cause another problem down the line
