self inserted catheter

I'm a pretty squeamish person and I was able to do it.  The diameter
of the catheter is much smaller than the catheter they use in the
hospital which is attached to a bag.

I found there is virtually no pain on insertion -- just a bit of
stinging.

And it gives you a great sense of confidence knowing that you can
manage if you become totally stopped up.

Where'd you get the catheter? Drug store? Need a prescription?
How did you choose the size - or is there only one? What
lubricant did you use? How did you know how to do it, or did you
just experiment?
