All conditions are fine except that I have difficulty sleeping. If I
take one 30 mg tablet it helps by cutting down to one trip per night.  I
am 77 is this normal? Any of you about my age have this difficulty?

Is there any danger in taking Flurazepam?

John K.

John, there is danger in taking any drug.  One has to weigh the risk reward
ratio.  I've been taking benzodizapines for nearly 15 years for insomnia and
anxiety.  I currently take Lorazapam/Ativan.  I haven't noted any negative
consequences.  Flurazepam is Dalmane.  Here are two links that may be
helpful.

I understand that sleep difficulties often occur in old age irrespective of
successful treatment for BPH
Cant see that the Fluazephan can do you much damage
Loss of sleep or disturbed sleep is likely to be more damaging
