Sorry, I forgot to indicate that I will be inquiring about a PVP.

Once again, the patient seems to have more wisdom than the urologist!<G>
Do no urologists, or their students, access this list? I find the ignorance
extraordinary. There is none so deaf as he who will not listen.
This must be one of the first medical revolutions that is being patient
led.
Welcome to the list, Chris. You will find Google a great resource and those
here will usually be pleased to answer any of your questions -- from first
hand experience.

Chris,
I followed much the same course as you, having a local Uro who wanted
to do various things and he even was trained on PVP but didn't think I
was a candidate. I searched the Lasercsope site for someone else,
made the contact and appointment and had the procedure done on
Good Friday this year. Today is the end of week 13 and after sitting
in a meeting yesterday for 2 1/2 hours I couldn't believe that I didn't have
any urinary urgency. A year ago I would have been lucky to make 30
minutes without being in excruciating "gotta go" pain.
While I haven't posted much to this group, it was the incentive that started
me researching PVP. When its all over we'll look for your success story.
Best of luck, I drove 100+ miles for my procedure and it was well worth
it.
Lewis.
