I've read a couple cursory remarks in magazines advising not to eat
Bell Peppers if you have prostate troubles, although Google searches
will only call up long lists of links recommending eating Red Bell
Peppers for the lycopene content to prevent cancer.

Anyone know why Bell Peppers may be contraindicated in the presence of
BPH?

I've been eating 1/4 bell pepper for years every night with other
vegetables.  Now, after laying off bell peppers for nearly a week I
have observed reduced prostate symptoms--including a freer, fuller,
stronger urination stream.

I discovered that too. Most raw fruit and vegetables slow my flow rate.
I try to eat just the minimum amount for nutrition. Bummer, I really like
both.
