Is it wise to have regular biopsies after the radiation treatments for
BPH ?

I don't think anyone has done radiation treatment (as that term is
normally used in medicine) for BPH for getting on for a hundred years.
I believe it was tried for a few years back in the days when things
like X-rays and radium were thought of in some circles as cures for
almost everything.

I think maybe you are thinking of thermotherapy (radiofrequency
treatment); I guess that does involve radiation of a kind, but not as
a radiologist would understand the term, I think.

Anyway, I know of no current evidence that RF treatment increases the
risk of cancer, though I suppose we might yet learn otherwise in
*very* longterm followup. So at this point I wouldn't think there is
any reason to do regular biopsies after such therapy.
