A brief update - I'll try to do a full report on the PVP experience
itself soon, when I've stopped taking the antibiotics and have my
usual energy levels back!

Flow still good, and no longer any blood at any point during peeing. I
get through a few nights without a visit to the bathroom, and it's
hardly ever more than one visit. Maybe daytime frequency is still a
little up on normal, but it's not much of a problem. The only real
remaining annoyance is the brief sharp pain I've had since a week or
so after the op, as I finish peeing. It lasts for less than half a
minute, but there's no sign of it going away yet. Interestingly I had
almost exactly the same thing, for at least as long, after the TUIP.

I have a followup appointment with Dr Paibul at the end of next week,
so I'll mention it then if it hasn't gone away.

Otherwise I'm happy with things so far, despite the initial period
when things didn't go quite as advertised. As long as the effect lasts
longer than the thermotherapy and TUIP did...!

Hi,

Same experience with pain after urination 2 months post. But I find it is
sporadic and seems related to bowel movements irritating the prostate. (They
share the same nerves). Still, it can be very debilitating. Urgency is onre
thing. But anticipating pain every time, can become extremely stressful.

Keep us up to date.

Marcus
