I am getting set up for a little microwave treatment, should I or
should I try for something else. My urology group only offers TURP or
microwave. I asked about pvp but they said they already tried laser and
weren't happy with the results. they tried to talk me into the TURP
but I don't like the odds and the time down.
I figure maybe if the therapy doesn't work
I can maybe get the pvp in Seattle.
I stopped up almost totally christmas eve and got drained with a
catheter friday morn.(1975ccs) then wore the catheter until monday and
took it out and drank lots of water like I was told.went to take flow
test and got rid of 150ccs, they checked me and said I was still holding
alot. they put another catheter in and
drained another 2000ccs out.
so here I sit waiting for the scheduling girl to get back to me.
Does anyone have any input!!!!
Thanks in advance

I made the same inquiry to my former uro. Indigo lazer, green laser, it's
all the
same to him and his partners. I thought I made a pretty good point
about vaporizing versus cooking, etc., but none of that nonsense for
the kings of the TURPs. A few months after cystoscopy (with _excellent_
dilation)
by this doctor, I got a form letter from his practice addressed to all their
BPH
patients offering the miraculous, new Indigo Laser procedure that was to be
the
greatest thing since sliced bread. He may indeed do a surperb TURP, with
nary a case
of impotence or incontinence, but I'll never find that out. Nor will I get
Indigoed.
Good luck. Find a doctor who will listen to your concerns respectfully.
Best not to start off with "I saw something really cool on the Internet",
though.

Howabout elucidating us with your 'pretty good point' ??
And while you are about it - include the difference from sticking a
red-hot rod up your penis ?

You have 2 liters retention and have refused a TURP ?
Forget any procedure around your prostate -
you need a head transplant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Smitty:
The problem is that it looks like you're running out of time. Find a PVP uro
fast.
