Any PVP patients of Dr. Hai?
Apparently he trained at Mayo and has trained other docs in PVP:
I've had great recommendations by another uro.

Would appreciate patient feedback.

Bob:

Are you located in Michigan???
I originally was considering going to see him, but there was another fellow
on this newsgroup who was seeing him. Bottom line was that he (I think his
name was Carl) had a very POOR experience.

Now, admittedly that was just one person, but I decided to wait.

There is now a Dr. John Wei who is affiliated with the U. of Michigan. I
don't know anything about him other than he is on their web-site. I am
scheduled for an appointment on Monday (might get delayed as a snow storm
might interfere).

As I recall, the fellow who had a less than successful experience with Dr.
Hai indicated it may have been more of a case of unrealistic expectations
rather than any problem with the Dr.  As we are beginning to read here in
this NG, not everyone has the fantastic results with PVP that many seem to
have had.  It is probably still better than all the alternatives but one
needs to recognize that everyone reacts differently to a surgical procedure.

Lee:

I think it was worse than that. I don't think his symptoms improved.

Maybe someone could check the archives!

Hi, I'm Korean Urologist doing KTP in KOREA.

We call this case as " Silent retention", and it is the reason why we
have to regular check-up.

I think the best way of bladder recovery is to rest.

So keep IC and try KTP or PVP.
