BPH -- no nightly symptoms? Can this be??

Another query to the group. I've noticed that most folks with BPH definitely
have night woes. I have not had many problems. While I might sometimes have
a miserable night where I get up to go maybe 10 times, more typically (and I
mean maybe 19 times out of 20) I can sleep though the night without having
to go.

Can this still be BPH (symptoms when it acts up,  which is quite often these
days is still very much reduced stream and also at times the
not-totally-voiding feeling with a few drop after being "done." Being done
also takes a couple of minutes! But, as I said, I don't have many night-time
problems).

Do any of you have (had) BPH without the nighttime woes?

I get up usually only once per night and typically it's after 5-6 hours.
During the day I can rarely go more than 2 hours between trips to the
restroom.

Mel,

There is one thing typical to BPH and that is that people's
symptoms vary.

I, too, was one of those who seldom got up at night prior to PVP
but my flow was usually poor and I was plagued by dribbling.
Just before the op, my flow was so bad that I thought I would go
into retention -- then a couple of days later it would be almost
normal.

I put down the lack of having to get up at night to beer
drinking in my youth! My reactions and bladder are trained to
wait until morning!

Same here. Rarely do I get up at night to go. Yet I have the same
problems voiding. The only time I get up at night is when my nose goes
into retention due to Flowmax. Even after several minutes of blowing my
nose, to try to open the clogged sinus passages, I have a 50/50 chance
that I will not need to urinate till morning.
