Derry,

Had my PVP operation on Oct. 20th in Seattle , WA , USA. by Dr. Ernest
Norehad one of the two trained PVP doctors in the city. The results were
superb. Morning of the 21st, catheter was removed. No blood, no pain, no
blood clots, immediate strong stream, same conditions exist today. Best
decision I ever made -- had two TUMT operations , Positroton in 1998 and
Targis in 1999 - neither was helpful. Thanks to this chat group I
discovered PVP.

My doctor is now training other young doctors in Seattle because he is
so impressed with the results. The problem seems to be old doctors
[knife men] are so set in their ways they keep pushing TURP, rather than
learning a new technique.

Go ahead with your PVP plans --- you will not regret it.

Regards,
John Kutina

Thanks, John, I am scheduled for my PVP on Wednesday 3rd
December, if, as they say out on the Scottish islands, I'm
spared!

That last comment inserted because I was scheduled for a TURP
five years ago "urgently" but refused then because of the weeks
off work it would have entailed. Took nearly two years to get
back to this point on the waiting list. So far, two changed
appointments.... Oh, the wonders and hazards of our National
Health Service! Wonderful and frustrating at the same time!<G>
